Real estate CRM with IDX: how MLS website integration works

IDX puts listings on your website and captures the leads who browse them. Here is how it connects to a CRM, and where we fit.

Updated October 2026Reviewed by the RealEstateCRM.pk editorial team
Key takeaways
  • IDX displays MLS listings on your site; the CRM manages the leads it captures.
  • RealEstateCRM.pk does not include an IDX website. It works alongside the one you have.
  • WordPress sites can pair a CRM with an IDX plugin.

IDX in plain English

IDX stands for Internet Data Exchange. It is the arrangement that lets brokers display each other’s MLS listings on their own websites. MLS stands for Multiple Listing Service, the database where listings are shared. An IDX website therefore shows searchable listings, captures contact details when visitors register and passes those leads to a CRM.

Our position: CRM-first, not a bundle

RealEstateCRM.pk does not include an IDX website or MLS data feed. We focus on the CRM. If you already run an IDX website, or prefer to choose your own provider, your leads can flow into the CRM through form capture, WordPress or Zapier.

This differs from all-in-one platforms such as BoldTrail, Real Geeks and CINC, which bundle IDX websites with the CRM.

How IDX leads reach your CRM

  1. A visitor searches listings on your IDX website.
  2. They register or submit an enquiry.
  3. The IDX provider or your form passes the contact details onward.
  4. The CRM creates the contact, records the source and assigns an owner.
  5. The agent follows up and logs activity.

Questions to ask an IDX provider

  • Which MLS or listing feeds are available in my area?
  • Can leads be sent to my CRM by email parsing, webhook or API?
  • Who owns the website and the lead data if I leave?
  • What are the setup and monthly costs?

Availability varies by country

IDX is a United States and Canada concept. In the UK, estate agents list on portals such as Rightmove and Zoopla; in the UAE, on portals such as Bayut and Property Finder. Our market guides cover local equivalents: US, UK, UAE. See also MLS and IDX data integration.
